Come by Wycked Manor and see me or Lisa. I am sure it is something minor. Palace wavs play fine in Manor.
I will give you a step by step document for new files. _________________ RL..now with 100% less lag! |

| Okay here's an update, and thank You Bri, the files were corrupted so i deleted them and pulled from a cd, now I can play them, except one problem, I can play a full length wav, and then try to play another one, and it won't play, but I can hear the sounds of people coming in and out of the room and the small wavs again...am not sure what's going on? |

| By "full length" how large a file are we talking about? Wondering if might be running out of memory someplace I need to look at. |

| Okay here's my system specs I have a Gateway Laptop it's a P4 3.2 Processor with 1 Gig of memory, i have 43 processes running for a total of 1229 M and it's using 20% CPU. I have windows XP Home. When i play a song say about 770kb inside Manor all plays well. When I go back to play a file even the same sound file, it will not play. I even tried this with rooms. I went to Club Beta, and they have a christmas tour, they have a room with a small 4 second song heard it fine. left the room come back and heard it again. Went into another room has a 770KB christmas song, downloaded it, heard it, left the room, come back and couldn't hear it anymore or any other song. but when i went back to the small 4 second room, I heard it just fine. so then i go out to winamp and play one of My Manor songs, and heard it fine. so i can't hear Mp3s in Manor, wavs in Manor if they are over about 5 seconds. So I'm not sure why this is. |

Your problem is indeed odd. You are on 7.7 Manor and I did see that you had to exit Manor and restart the Client to repeat any RIFF header level 3 song over 1 minute.
The tunes in Club Bete are all under 1 mb to allow 98/ME visitors to hear, those older OS have 1 mb lmit in Manor client. Please try the Club Bete -Mac tour to see if the u-law songs are ok for you.
I "think" it maybe a threading issue with that very new fast Intel processor.
I will setup a test room for you with different formats and length songs for us to test.
Scotsman will need detail info. _________________ RL..now with 100% less lag! |

I have had the 1 wav problem too. I'm affraid I've never been able to solve the problem. The size of the wavs didn't really matter, only very small files could be played more often.
After a while I had to reformat my system for another reason and the problem was solved.
Sorry I can't be of more help. _________________ -Lisa- |
