For those of you that love J.R.R. Tolkien and his trilogy "Lord of the Rings"... here's something:
Yesterday (1. dec 2009) an hour long fan movie was released on the internet. It can only be seen online and it is totally free to watch.
Note: it is NOT made by amateurs but professional actors, and I thought it was rather good actually, very good acting, costumes, makeup and settings.
The story takes place before the trilogy begins, when Arathorn (father of Aragorn) becomes king. The evil Sauron and his orks are beginning to attack and are determined to wipe out the royal bloodline of the heirs of Isildur.
Here's a ditty from their website:
| Quote: | | Born of Hope is a 60 minute Lord of the Rings inspired film being produced in the UK. A low budget production, the entire cast and crew are giving their services for no financial gain. The subject matter and quality has attracted people from around the world to join the team, even gaining support and interest from some of the original New Line Trilogy cast and crew members including Richard Taylor and the Oscar® winning team at Weta Workshop, New Zealand. |
And here is the link to watch the whole movie for free:

Finally a viewing tip: in the little "menu" tab at bottom of movie, choose "default" and "full screen"... I found that best viewing mode.
Happy viewing !
P.S: comments are appreciated. _________________ Cheiron
