Having one of those thoughtful moments, I got to thinking. The budget that keeps getting bandied about in congress is 1.3 trillion dollars. That's 130,000,000,000,000. The U.S. population according to the census is 308,745,538.
So $130,000,000,000,000 divided by 308,745,538 is $421,058.72 for every man, woman, and child in the country.
I'm sorry, but that kinda tells me the people in DC are even more whacked than I ever thought. |

hm, okies... but uh have you considered the infrastructure, hospitals, military whatever? You can't put it like that.
Anyways .... I've had my nose in some numbering systems... and it's annoying, not only temperature, distance etc are different but even numbering...
US Numbering system:
one trillion = 12 zeros
one quadrillion =15 zeros
one quintrillion = 18 zeros
....etc
one centillion = 303 zeros
Worldwide Numbering system:
one trillion = 18 zeros
one quadrillion = 24 zeros
one quintrillion =30 zeros
... etc
one centillion = 600 zeros
now... that's a big difference folks over there in the US of .. A, could we please get on the same page all of us???
...gosh _________________ Cheiron

I agree Scotsman, politicians are whacked out.. always have been, always will be. They have no real concept of just how much they are spending.
LOL Cheiron we don't get "on the same page" for the same reasons we've never officially adopted the metric system.. |

..and the reasons are?... look at the problems that have been with an aeroplane running out of fuel etc... I wonder what a space trip to Mars will be like if it's a joint venture... gosh _________________ Cheiron
