Since September 1st, 2009, the traditional lightbulb have become illegal to sell in EU, hehe... only two days after, you couldn't find a regular lightbulb anywhere.

Alternatives are of course the energy saving bulbs or neon tube lights or the spotlight things. Unless you grew up on a mens toilet at a Russian trainstation with the neon tubes, you prolly would go for energy saving ones or the spotlight.

Problem is the energy saving ones are giving a pretty bad light too, they are not especially good for eyes... specially red colors turn brownish, and it contains toxic materials.... but well...they save up to 75% in energy.

However... a danish guy has developed a new kind of lightbulb...the crystal bulb... it gives a very sharp warm sunlight kind of light with 1200 colors in it, and it saves 30% energy compared to traditional bulbs, and is non-toxic ! The plan is to develop it further to save 50 % compared.

I personally hate neon tube lights... its cold and bad, the energy saving ones are not much better... and if you want a cozy living room and have some aesthetic sense about lighting, or say wanna paint, it is pure crap. So the new bulb type is good news... for sure its... a bright idea

I havent tried it yet though.
