So Apple has announced that the App Store for the Mac will be in 10.7. At this point it won't be the only way to get applications for the Mac, but you can bet they want it to be long term.

Personally, having Apple dictate to me what I can and can't write for the iPhone is bad enough. But now wanting to make that kind of big brother power grab on the desktop too? Maybe it's just me, but really not happy with what I see happening.
