Moral of the Story

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a horse came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there miserably in the pile of horse dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the under the pile of horse dung, promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story :

1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you are in deep shit, its best to keep your mouth shut!

Can't help but feel your "Moral of the story" is meant to be translated as a message to people in Manor, otherwise why would you post it Flexie?

After the mass exodus from your Manor to AF it may be that No3 in your story is applicable to you, and that we can look forward to no further postings which demean the original reason for Scotsman stating up Manor for ALL to come together in Peace and friendship

Elucidations Section on forum is for Jokes, politics and random thoughts. I have posted many jokes on the forum to add some humour, got to have some humour in life don’t we?.

Something that needs to be translated as a message to anyone in Manor, should be done the proper way and take it in private. Personal attacks are not the foundation of a forum, I can assume that most would agree. Scotsman has added on the menu bar a link which says “message” that would deem much more appropriate and you can send personal messages.

The purpose of forum is to share information with people and it could be so much fun if people would answer to postings that some have put so much effort into writing them, one person in particular is Cheiron.

The numbers as to people reading them speaks for themselves, unfortunately a lot of good postings go unanswered.

So as a manor community we should all get involved in sharing information, jokes or any topic that could be of interest and more important as adults we should keep private messages and personal attacks off the forum.

It does sound like that to me too Island Girl. But to each their own.. true friends will come help you out of the shit and fight off the "cats" who try ot eat you.

But while on the subject of poop. I wonder why Flex posted a story about poop on the Forum but chastises poor Mary Jane about using the word "poopykins" and saying that kind of language won't be tolerated

Everyone has a right to their opinion.. doesnt make it right but it doesnt make the others wrong either.
Just some like to have an opinion and not listen to anyone elses.. Still Doesnt make them Right or the other ones wrong.. Isnt that what having an opinion is all about.. if we all agree on Everything what would be the point of even commenting , We would just see things the same boring way..
So Rom this is merely ones opinions.. if you happen to agree with what some say or dont agree with them.. Its All about ones own opinion..

Hank you and anyone else are welcome on what dimes i can afford..its all about sharing.. I co own Manor and I try to share....it belongs to everyone not just to Michael and I even if we pay the bills..Takes all of us to make a manor and to make it successful, Hank you have contributed in ways that money couldnt.. so thanks...and to all those who visit and make your home with us.. you each and everyone contribute different things...
I agree lots of ppl have left manor but a lot have just moved to different ones.
. Manor is for chat.fantasy..and whatever u want it to be..we all seek different things here......
My opinion its not over bickering why they leave. But hey thats My opinion just sharing it .. Smile

So I commend you Sis for commenting here on what you feel about a post and your opinion is appreciated..Should you be chastised for it like a child certainly not.. Should anyone be able to comment on your opinion certainly so ...and thats what they did... and that again is just that . Each and Everyones Opinion on a subject.
In Conclusion This is ONLY MY OPINION AND HOW I SEE IT, NOT ANYONE ELSES.. DOESNT MAKE ME RIGHT.. DOESNT MAKE ME WRONG.. NOR DOES IT MAKE THEM so Please Do not take any of it to heart .. Wow what a shame Flexie that a joke got blown way out of proportion and I agree we all need humour in our lives. There are some good postings on this forum and I believe that personal slander should be kept private as it is no one's business really. As for opinions here is mine, some of you seem to have personal vendetta's against each other and to be quite frank, not very pleasant to read on a general forum. Why don't you put your knives away..chill out folks life is way too short.

I will not be returning to this forum, this type of behaviour I'm sorry to say is childish and totally unacceptable. To those I have met thank you for the chat.

Alexander , I do not know you , I have never met you.. and I do hope that I would never judge you or anyone else on just a few comments... There is always two sides to Every story and it depends on how one reads the comments.. Its sad you decide to Judge Everyone on a few comments.. Maybe you could have gotten to know some of us before judging anyone based on a few comments in a forum.. We are all human subject to error,just like you ..But You too are entitled to your opinion on the subject and I respect Your comments Does that make yours right in how you feel, I am sure to you it does...just to everyone else with an opinion...you give respect.. you get it back..So please do try not to judge people so harshly on a few forum comments. that was a funny joke i liked it

not realy sure what to say about all the views on this or what started it i wasnt involved. this is my 1st time posting as a member so i guess i blather away for a few lines and try to say something relavent.

people see what they want to and say what they will, its hard to express my opinion i feel close to all sides of this issue. so maybe ill stay in the middle and laugh at the jokes and listen to all sides.

one thing has been made clear to me and that is i now know a little bit more about every ones heart who posted in this thread. thats a gift ill keep in my heart the knowing of anothers mind and feelings is a wonderfull thing.

Good story, Flexie, and the morals seem pretty applicable to me. From the response it created, it seems you must have hit some touchy areas.

I am having a difficult time understanding a few things. When people make a choice to leave one manor and go to another, why do they seem so unhappy? Move on, be happy and let well enough alone, I say. When I came to manor, I was told we are all "one big family". What happened to that? Why the vicious attacks at every opportunity? I couldn't wait to become part of the forum but from what I see here, it's not at all what I hoped it would be.

I could say much more but since this is not the time nor the place for it, I will refrain. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
