well... I think everybody with a normally functioning brain can see what is happening here...

To Victoria, Alexander and Romulus: never mind this, there are lots of good stuff at forum and it's usually a very friendly place where you can get technical help and also post about interesting things or announce a party or whatever... so don't get discouraged by some stupid remarks.

Delete it because of all the stupid remarks Cheiron by everyone involved except the 3 ppl who refrained from it.. Rom, Meryl and Benji. When a post causes this much angst, it's gotten out of control. Benji and you are right in that there is a lot of good information and advice to be found in the Forum. A few bad comments by a lot of different people shouldn't influence anyone's opinions on the benefits of the Forum as a whoe.

Maybe jokes shouldnt be a part of forum (that might be against our freedom of speech) , but hey the forum belongs to Scotsman ..) .Just a suggestion.
Maybe it should mostly consist of..
How to find out information...annoucements.. put down scripting. etc. The important things.. leave the jokes for a friendly chat between friends...

We all claim to be "family" and looking around in the society we live in now, maybe we truly are. I for one prefer those who behave like adults and learn to live with their differences, maybe even learn from them. Why is it that those differences are often not accepted here in manor? From what I hear, often our "family" finds it fully acceptable to discuss a person when that person is not present. Now that takes real courage, doesn't it? This one issue alone can tear down any family. No one is interested in superficial friendships. I guess that's why I choose to stay with a few.

And yes, Benji, we do all have different opinions but it seems some are tolerated a lot more easily than others. Or maybe it's who it is that is expressing those opinions. Yes we have freedom of speech and that freedom should include the ability to post an innocent joke. A couple of people chose to read much more into it than what was intended. It seems we are a bit too thin skinned here lately.

And, Cheiron, I'm not discouraged. I was disappointed but maybe this truly is good. Maybe we need an area to air our differences. As long as people can handle it, bring it on.

i love the part where you said look at the views on Che's posts and see the numbers. Most honestly dont like him. I know this because i have had lots of discussions with people after my dealings with him and always wondered if i misread him or if he was really a jerk to everyone else the way he seems to me.
Well yes i am sure there are lots of views to his posts. But, i liken it to a race. Most people who watch a race dont care about the race or the drivers. They want to see the wreck that will inevitably come. Che is the wreck we are all waiting to see. I read his posts to hope there is a wreck in there somewhere or maybe he blows a gasket. Just sayin

I tried to be nice about this, I understand there is a lot more that goes on than one see's in the forums (it is all built around a chat app / virtual world app after all).

However airing the dirty laundry on a public forum that non members (including google) can read is rather counter productive.

I also understand people need to work through their differences. I encourage site owners to create an affiliation group for their manor here where these discussions can take place, without imposing on people not party to the particular issue.
