HNY to all and i hope you had a lovely christmas too, it was very cold and snowy here. i took some photos as it was a record for both temps and depth of snow. On 30th December i was returning from a trip from the grocery store when i saw a cat eating the remains of a hamburger so i pulled up beside it and it purred and did not run away, i stayed a while by then it had jumped up on a low wall and stepped onto my lap and curled up to sleep, she had a collar but only an elasticated one with a bell, no identification so i decided if u stay there and dont jump off before i get home , i guess u can stay. so she did. a few days of putting her out letting Jock into another room i was exhausted lol, yesterday she jumped up on my lap when i let her in so i thought here goes .....they have to meet sometime coz i cant keep this up indefinately, Jock already knew we had a visitor of course. with my heart in my mouth i opened the kitchen door and waited. jock's tail wagged furiously the cat arched slightly then noses touched and success partners in crime now tho poor jock will be on doggie Prozac soon, hes not used to being confronted by a furball that leaps 4 feet in the air and grabs him by the ears. i keep waiting for her to push her luck but so far they are best friends.I called her Pud firstly coz shes a puddy tat and secondly its christmas and christmas pud;, shes young..what age i'm not sure, not a kitten and not fully grown, young enough to make this difficult coz she insists on sitting on my lap and jumping at the cursor while squaking for food i think.i have photos whichi will try to post when i figure it out,

ah yes shes a little beaut its been so long since i had a cat i forgot how nothing is safe from them unless under lock and key, Pud was clearly a NASCAR driver in a previous incarnation judging by the speed she runs at the couch, sails through the air and speeds along the back of it.when something crashes in the kitchen jock gives me a look a much as to say " its NOT me, its that crazy animal you brought home" but secretly when shes not in sight and there has been no noise for a while he goes to see where she is and she likes to sit right up beside him, now its game time aka bedtime, get her in the kitchen and get the door closed before she gets out again , its a bit like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube, Jade

Awwwwwwwwww such a cute story Jade. Hugsssssssssssss sounds like you have a pair there lol. Hope they continue to bring you the happiness all year that they've brought you so far.

This truly is a sweet story. We're animal lovers and I've been thinking of adding to the family. I have a very sociable and affectionate cat but am wondering if that would continue with a family addition in the form of a lab. Thanks for sharing your story, Jade.

hi Jade happy holidays, loved that story over the years and many cats a few stand out also, that was a wonderfull one that you shared. sometimes i believe that cats chose us not the other way around and im getting to think they are smarter than us at times as well
