Hi there..
A friend of mine is trying to reinstall Manor on an OSX system, and is getting the following error. Knowing nothing about OSX I thought I would put it here hoping someone could figure out what the problem is...
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x053af364
They didn't tell me what version, although I know he installed "Panther" hoping that would help.
I will relay any info back to them from here.
Thanks |

The most likely cause is Apple's installer is having a problem. This is assuming the checksum of the disk image passed (the OS runs a checksum verification any time it mounts a disk image (dmg) file so long as the user doesn't tell it to skip it)
If he is still having trouble after installing 10.3.x (Panther) let me know. |

His machine is really unhappy about something. Trouble is figuring out what. Could be drivers, firewire device, etc. If it was something specific to Manor itself would think would have heard about it before now (the OSX version hasn't changed in a couple months).
Going to have to wrack my brain on this one. |
