Ok folks, I've been watching this getting debated and argued as I'm sure most of you have aswell. What galls me is if the big phone companies didn't have plans to suck the life out of the net, why would they be lobbying so hard against laws to stop them from doing it? They think we're all stupid or something?

And folks outside the US, yes this will potentially affect you aswell. Think about it, how much internet traffic passes through the US at some point?

I urge everyone (yes I know 500 people isn't that many, but every bit helps) to contact their congress person and let their voice be heard! The phone companies have their way and the net will never be the same again! (And their arguments about not getting paid don't hold water, as they charge for access to their systems already, this is all just plain GREED)
