My observations:
Corporate and government are conditioned to pay dearly for applications.
Corporate support commands $200 an hour.
The enjoyment applications pay zilch.
Helping out, support, you may get a thanks.
In that vain, if you are doing a spreadsheet or accounting program the rank and file expect a modest price, however they will get upset being charged for social apps. Whereas people will be happy paying $ for uploads or the like.
The reasons for that, I believe is, the computer was first introduced into society by the likes of IBM. In later years Microsoft, Adobe, Autocad and Lotus followed the PC into industry at what would be considered today as very high prices by the general user. But to corporate buyers the pricing was in the arena of almost petty cash. _________________ RL..now with 100% less lag! |
