Wear any picture as an avatar -- in full 32-bit color!
You can wear any picture as an avatar -- your picture, drawings, photos, animals, a teddy bear -- virtually anything your imagination can dream up! All in the crystal clarity that comes from full 32-bit color. Props and backgrounds can be added to your Manor chat software directly from your graphics program, in several common graphic formats. Single frames in each avatar can be as large as 160x160 pixels. There is no need to resize images before you import them -- if your graphic is larger, the Prop Editor will automatically scale it for you.

The Manor chat software supports full-frame animation with up to 15 frames in a single animated avatar. With this amount of flexibility, you can make avatars that resemble small movies.

With The Manor chat software, you can carry on private (whispered) conversations with one or many people in the same room -- at the same time you're chatting and "playing" with the room in general.

Use Manor's RSAC-based tools to keep kids away from inappropriate content.
To protect children from inappropriate content in distinct Manor online communities, The Manor chat software uses ICRA's RSAC standard, perhaps the most widely used of the existing Internet rating standards. RSAC (Recreational Software Advisory Council) uses the Platform for Internet Content Selection (PICS) developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is found in most standard Internet browser software like Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Manors are rated by their owners, and Manor client software can be set to ignore Manors that are rated as unsuitable for children. If a Manor is not rated properly, it is removed from the Manor online directory until its rating is corrected.

The software also has many security features, including a 128-bit encrypted data stream, username and password protection for accessing a private Manor server, and DOS attack protection.
